Can I use this script when I use .html files?

Yes, that’s possible. Rename your index.html to index.php and then follow the documentation file to install the script in your index.php file.

For people like me who dont have an iphone or blackberry , how to check whether this works or not for thier site?

You can add ?mobile=iphone to the url to force the mobile layout to show in a regular browser. But keep in mind that Mozilla and IE renders the HTML and CSS differently than for example the iPhone browser.

The script doesn’t work?

Make sure you used the right type of quotes in the php include (“). I noticed when you copy and paste from the PDF documentation the quotes are wrong.

What is event tracking

Event tracking let’s you track files that get downloaded or when a visitor clicks an outbound link.
Normally this events are not tracked with the default analytics code but in this plugin we added
some extra code that automaticly handles all the code to track these events.

Installation

In the zip file you find a EnvatoDashboard.zip file. This file can be installed by going
to the WordPress admin panel. Then go to Plugins > Add new > Upload. Select the
ExtendedAnalytics.zip file and click install now. After installation make sure you active it.

Configuration

Under the tab settings you now have a new link “Extended Analytics”. Click this link to configure
the plugin.
On the right hand side you see a menu with the different plugin pages.
  • Plugin Settings: All the settings for this plugin
  • Campaing tracking: Create tracking links to use in your newsletter or other campaigns
  • FAQ: This is a list of frequently asked questions for this plugin
To get started you open the Plugin settings, enter you UA code in the first input field. Select
wich events you want to track and set the file extension that you want to track for downloads.
Click on save changes and you are ready.
